RightMX Enterprise Mail 8.x users that access there mailboxes from the Thunderbird email client and its Lighting calendaring add-on can sync there calendar data using the CalDav protocol. This protocol is include in RightMX Mail so there is no need to download or install additional programs.

Follow these step to sync your RightMX Mail calendar with Lightning:

1. In Lightning, right-click the Calendar list and select New Calendar.
2. Click On the Network.
3. Click CalDAV.
4. For location, type http://yourdomain.com/WebDAV/cal
5. Enter a name for the calendar and press Next.
6. Enter your full email address and password when prompted.

On occasion, users may want to forward multiple messages to a contact. Instead of forwarding each message individually, RightMX Enterprise Mail 8.x allows users to forward multiple messages at once as attachments to a single message.

Follow these steps to forward multiple emails at once:

1. Log into RightMX Enterprise Mail 8.x as a user.
2. Click the email icon.
3. In the navigation pane, click the folder containing the messages you wish to forward. The messages in the folder will load in the content pane.
4. Select the desired messages.
5. Click the Actions menu in the content pane toolbar and then click Forward. This will open a new message window that you will use to compose a message to the desired recipients. The messages that you wanted to forward will be attached as .eml files to the new message.
6. Compose the message and click Send.

Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync is available as an optional add-on to RightMX Enterprise Mail 8.x. Unlike other synchronization methods, Exchange ActiveSync uses direct push technology to sync email, calendars, and contacts, tasks, notes, and folders to Windows Mobile devices in real time.

Once you have activated the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync add-on and enabled Exchange ActiveSync for the specific RightMX mailbox, you will need to configure the Windows Mobile device to function with Exchange ActiveSync.

To set up your Windows Mobile device to access Exchange ActiveSync, follow these steps:

1. On your Windows Mobile device, click Start. Then click Programs and click ActiveSync.
2. Click the Set up your device to sync with it link.
3. Enter your email address.
4. Uncheck the Attempt to detect Exchange Server Settings automatically checkbox.
5. Click Next.
6. Enter the URL to your webmail server. For example, mail.example.com. NOTE: Do not include http:// when entering the server information.
7. If your webmail requires SSL, select the This server requires an encrypted (SSL) connection checkbox.
8. Click Next.
9. Complete the following required information:
* Username (without @domainname.com)
* Password
* Domain name
10. Click Next.
11. The Windows Mobile device will display a list of collaboration items to sync with Exchange ActiveSync. Choose from the list and click Finish to initiate the first sync.

A user can subscribe and unsubscribe from a mailing list by sending an email with a specific subject line. These are referred to in RightMX Enterprise Mail as Listserv commands.

To subscribe to a mailing list, follow these steps:

1. Compose an email message to the Listserv command address. By default, this address is STServ@example.com, where example.com is replaced by the actual domain.
2. With “listname” being the actual name of the mailing list, write “Subscribe listname” (no quotes) in the body of the message.
3. Send the message and you will be subscribed to the mailing list.

To unsubscribe from a mailing list, follow these steps:

1. Compose an email message to the Listserv command address. By default, this address is STServ@example.com, where example.com is replaced by the actual domain.
2. With “listname” being the actual name of the mailing list, write “Unsubscribe listname” (no quotes) in the body of the message.
3. Send the messageand you will be unsubscribed to the mailing list.

Creating a signature allow users to sign their emails and include information that can be useful to other users receiving the email. For example, most email signatures include alternative contact details, pertinent job titles and company names, social media links, legal disclaimers or other important information.
Follow these steps to create a signature in RightMX Enterprise Mail 8.x:

1. Log in to RightMX Enterprise Mail 8.x as a user.
2. Click the settings icon.
3. Expand the My Settings folder.
4. Click Signatures in the navigation pane. A list of existing signatures and mappings will load in the content pane.
5. Click the Signatures tab.
6. Click New in the content pane toolbar.
7. In the Name field, type the name of the signature.
8. Type the content of the signature in the text box.
9. Click Save.
10. Click Save again.

RightMX Enterprise Mail uses multiple data synchronization technologies to sync mailbox data with email clients and mobile devices. Before users can sync using SyncML, the system administrator must enable synchronization using SyncML for the domain.

Follow these steps to enable SyncML for all of the users on a domain:

1. Log in as the system administrator.
2. Click the Manage icon.
3. Expand Domains in the left tree view and click All Domains.
4. Select desired domain and click Edit in the actions toolbar.
5. Click the Features tab.
6. Select the Enable SyncML checkbox.
7. Click Save.

SyncML is now enabled for all accounts in the domain. Users will have to install the Funambol SyncML plug-in prior to synchronizing their data with Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, or most smartphones.

Using the events system, the system administrator can blind carbon copy (BCC) a user’s sent and received messages to another email account. This ability is useful for both archiving and monitoring purposes.

Copying Received Mail
Follow these steps to automatically BCC all of a user’s received messages:

1. Log in as the system administrator.
2. Click the Events icon.
3. Click New In the navigation pane toolbar.
4. Click New Event.
5. In the Event Name field, type the name of the event.
6. In the Event Category field, Click Email.
7. In the Event Type field, Click Message Received.
8. Click the From Address checkbox and type the user’s email address in the corresponding field.
9. Click the Actions tab.
10. Click Add Action.
11. In the Action field, select Add Recipient.
12. In the Maximum Frequency field, select None.
13. In the Recipients field, type the email address to which messages should be forwarded.
14. Click Save.

Copying Sent Mail
Follow these steps to automatically BCC all of a user’s sent messages:

1. Log in as the system administrator.
2. Click the Events icon.
3. In the navigation pane toolbar, click New and select New Event.
4. In the Name field, type the name of the event.
5. In the Event Category field, select Email.
6. In the Event Type field, select Message Sent.
7. Select the From Address checkbox and type the user’s email address in the corresponding field.
8. Click the Actions tab.
9. Click Add Action.
10. In the Action field, select Add Recipient.
11. In the Maximum Frequency field, select None.
12. In the Recipients field, type the email address to which messages should be forwarded.
13. Click Save.

BlackBerry users can receive email from their RightMX Enterprise Mail 8.x account to their phone and send outbound email replies through RightMX Mail on the BlackBerry. NOTE: You will need a blackberry.net account.

Follow these steps to send and receive email from your RightMX Mail account on your BlackBerry:

1. If you do not have a blackberry.net email address (i.e., username@blackberry.net), sign up for one.
2. Configure your RightMX Mail account to auto-forward email to username@blackberry.net.
3. Configure BlackBerry to check your blackberry.net email address.
4. Set the Reply-To setting to your RightMX email address.

RightMX Enterprise Mail 8.x allows the use of the Funambol SyncML plugin for BlackBerry devices to synchronize calendars, contacts, tasks, and notes with RightMX Enterprise Mail 8.x. This article describes the process of downloading, installing, and using the Funambol SyncML plugin for the BlackBerry.

1. Download the PIM Sync Client for your OS from Funambol’s website at https://www.forge.funambol.org/download/#phone
2. Once installed, locate and start the Funambol Blackberry Plug-in on your phone.
3. You will see a “Welcome to Funambol Blackberry Plug-in” screen.
4. Press the Menu key and select Settings and configure them as follows:
* Enter the server location in the format http://YourRightMX Enterprise Mail URL/sync/default.aspx
* Enter the username in the format username@domainname.com
* Enter the password on the account.
* Select if you want to synchronize contacts, calendar appointments, tasks, and/or notes.
* Select if you want to enable a scheduled synchronization.
* Select the sync direction (Two-Way, One Way: Client to Server, or One Way: Server to Client).
* Select Menu and Save.
5. To manually synchronize data, select Menu and choose Synchronize.

RightMX Enterprise Mail 8.x uses multiple data synchronization technologies to sync mailbox data with email clients and mobile devices. RightMX Sync is a utility that allows you to synchronize your calendars, contacts, tasks, and notes with Microsoft Outlook and Windows Mobile Devices.

Follow these steps to synchronize your mobile device with RightMX Enterprise Mail 8.x using RightMX Sync:

1. Open RightMX Sync
2. Select Sync
3. Select the account you wish to sync from the list.
4. When syncing is complete, select Finish.
