To synchronize calendars and contacts between a RightMX Enterprise user account and Mozilla Thunderbird, you will need to download and install the Lightning and Funambol plug-ins for the Thunderbird email client.

There are two methods for downloading and installing the required plugins:

Option One
1. Download the Lightning plug-in from Thunderbird Add-ons and save the plug-in to your desktop.
2. Start Thunderbird and go to Tools -> Add-ons -> Install. Then select the Lightning plug-in, which you should have saved on your desktop, and click Install Now.
3. Exit and restart Thunderbird.
4. Download the Funambol plug-in from Thunderbird Add-ons and save the plug-in to your desktop.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This plug-in is currently in beta, so you will need to log in to the Mozilla site in order to download the plug-in.
5. Start Thunderbird and go to Tools -> Add-ons -> Install. Then select the Funambol plug-in, which you should have saved on your desktop, and click Install Now.
6. Exit and restart Thunderbird.

Option Two
1. Start Thunderbird and go to Tools -> Add-ons -> Get Extensions. This will open your browser (or a new browser window if your browser is already open) and take you to the Thunderbird Add-ons Web site.
2. From the Thunderbird Add-ons site, search for the Lightning plug-in. Click Download Now and save the plug-in to your desktop.
3. From the Thunderbird Add-ons site, search for the Funambol plug-in. Click Download Now and save the plug-in to your desktop.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This plug-in is currently in beta, so you will need to log in to the Mozilla site in order to download the plug-in.
4. From the Thunderbird interface, go to Tools -> Add-ons -> Install. Then select the Lightning plug-in, which you should have saved on your desktop, and click Install Now.
5. Exit and restart Thunderbird.
6. In Thunderbird and go to Tools -> Add-ons -> Install. Then select the Funambol plug-in, which you should have saved on your desktop, and click Install Now.

After installing the plug-ins, you will need to configure the Funambol plug-in using the following steps:

1. From the Thunderbird interface, go to Tools -> Funambol Plug-in -> Options.
2. Enter the server location into the server URL field using the format http://mail.domainname.com/sync/default.aspx
3. Enter your username using the format username@domainname.com
4. Enter your account password.
5. Click the Synchronize tab.
6. Select the items that you want to synchronize (contacts and/or calendar).
IMPORTANT NOTE: To synchronize the calendar, you will need to click the Details button and change the remote name to scal.
7. If you want to schedule synchronization, click Sync Every.
8. Click OK and Click to Synchronize.

Microsoft Entourage 2008 is an email client for Apple computers running Mac OS X and is a component of Microsoft Office. RightMX Enterprise users can connect Microsoft Entourage to their email accounts using IMAP or POP connectivity.

Follow these steps to configure Entourage to check your RightMX Enterprise email:

1. Start Entourage. Then go to the Tools menu and click Accounts. This will open a new account window.
2. Click New.
3. In the Account Type field, select either POP or IMAP from the list.
4. Fill in the following required fields:
* In the Email Address field, type your full email address (i.e., example@example.com).
* In the Account ID field, type your full email address.
* To complete the IMAP/POP Server field (i.e., mail.example.com).
* In the Password field, type the password for the RightMX Enterprise account. (password for email account)
* SMTP Server field (smtp.example.com).
5. If your server requires SMTP authentication, click the Click here for advanced sending options button.
6. Select the SMTP server requires authentication checkbox. Then select Use same settings as receiving mail server.
7. Click OK to save your settings.
8. Close the Accounts window.

Entourage is now set up to retrieve your RightMX Enterprise email, but it may take a few minutes to import your existing email messages.

How do I set up POP or IMAP e-mail on a BlackBerry?

1. From the BlackBerry home screen, click BlackBerry Setup > Set up Internet E-mail > Add An Email Account.
2. Type your e-mail address and password, and then click Next.
3. If your BlackBerry device can’t determine the appropriate server settings, click I will provide the settings to add this email account.
4. Scroll down and then click Next.
5. Select Internet Service Provider Email (POP/IMAP), and then click Next.
6. Type your user name (for example, test@domain.com).
7. Scroll down and type the name of your e-mail server.
8. Click Next.
9. Enter the name of the outgoing server (SMTP – Encryption method: TLS, Port: 465).
10. Click OK to complete the setup.

This article describes the process of downloading and installing the funambol.com SyncML plugin for the BlackBerry. This will allow the synchronization of calendars, contacts, tasks and notes between a RightMX Enterprise user account and the BlackBerry.

1. Download the PIM Sync Client for your OS from Funambol’s website at https://www.forge.funambol.org/download/#phone
NOTE: Be careful not to download the Funambol Clients Developer-only Release v. 8.5, as this is not supported with RightMX.
2. Once installed find the Funambol Blackberry Plug-in and select the icon
3. You will see a “Welcome to Funambol Blackberry Plug-in” screen
4. Press the Menu key and select Settings
1. Server location need to be formatted:

http://mail.domainname.com/sync/default.aspx

2. Enter the Username: username@domainname.com
3. Enter the accounts password
4. Select if you want to Sync Contacts, Calendar, Task, Notes
5. Select if you want to Enable Scheduled Sync
6. Select Sync Direction (Two-Way, One Way: Client to Server, or One Way: Server to Client)
7. Select Sync Time Frame if you want to change default setting
8. Select Log Level if you want to change default setting
9. Select Menu and Save
5. To manually Sync select Menu and Synchronize

In order to have email pushed to your Blackberry, using the free myFunambol service you will need to do the following:

1. Go to my.funambol.com
2. Select Sign up.
3. Enter in the account information and click Join.
4. Click next on account activation page
5. You will be prompted to enter in your password for your email address. You will need to do this if you want your email pushed to you.
6. The next screen will be the Email set up screen. You will have two options, first to Continue or I didn’t receive an SMS message.
1. If you received the SMS message, click Continue and then go to your phone and open up the text message. In the text message will be a link to download a file.
2. If you did not receive the SMS text message, select I didn’t receive an SMS message and you will go to a screen with a URL that you will need to enter into your Blackberry browser to download the software.
7. Once, the software is downloaded, select Yes at the bottom of the screen
8. You will be taken to a Setup completed screen with some information on setting up Blackberry depending on the Blackberry configuration. Click Continue
9. You will then, be taken to your Profile screen that will ask for your name. You can change you phone type and phone number in the profile page and turn on/off the push features.

On the phone once, the software is installed, you may need to enter in your myFunambol portal account information. You will need to enter your username and password for the myFunambol portal, not your RightMX account information. Once, this is complete you will be able to send and receive email through the funambol client.

Steps to configure a BlackBerry:

1. Sign up with BlackBerry.net for an email address, i.e., username@blackberry.net
2. Configure your RightMX account to auto forward email to username@blackberry.net
3. Configure Blackberry to check BlackBerry.net email
4. Set the Reply-To setting to your RightMX email address

This configures your BlackBerry to receive email through your blackberry.net account. This also configures your BlackBerry to send all outbound email replies through your RightMX mailbox.
